INTRODUCING SUMERU SS'26 
THE FOLKLORE OF JEETU BAGDWAL OF THE KHAIT PARVAT. 

Inspired by the legend of Jeetu Bagdwal and the sacred landscape of Khait Parvat, SUMERU is an exploration of memory of fields tilled by hand, rituals performed in rhythm with the seasons, and a relationship to land that is both physical and spiritual. Rooted in the agrarian culture of Garhwal, the collection revisits inherited stories of devotion, sacrifice, and belonging, translating them into contemporary form.

At its core, SUMERU reflects the emotional language of cultivation sowing, waiting, harvesting and the quiet poetry found within everyday labour. Textures are drawn from the landscape itself: the softness of turned soil, the irregularity of harvested grain, the movement of mountain winds through open fields. Natural linens and lightweight cottons form the foundation of the collection, chosen for their honesty, breathability, and lived-in character. Their surfaces are interrupted by subtle embroidery and hand led details symbolic markings that echo ritual gestures, agricultural tools, and traces left behind by time.
